  • Story Text:Who is the fairest in the land? Lithuanians put their locks on display at the annual "World's Longest Hair Competition" on Sunday (November 11) in the city of Kaunas, about 100 kilometres weat of the capital Vilnius.
    Some 185 women aged one to 80 took part in the competition, now in its 9th year, many of the participants adorning themselves with combed out locks measuring more than a metre.
    Lithuania's new national Rapunzel is 26-year old Odeta Autukaite, with her hair measuring 156 centimeters. Even though it is very long, that is still shy of the competition's record holder in 2013 with 245 metres of hair. Autukaite won an all expenses paid trip for two to the European Parliament in Strasbourg or Brussels.
