- Story Text: If you're looking for a special present at Christmas a new pop-up store in London lets you buy a gift for a refugee.
'Choose Love' opened on Friday (November 23) and is run by the charity 'Help Refugees'.
The store lets you buy items like food, clothing and education for refugees around the world.
Last year was the first time they opened and they raised over £750,000 (USD $960,000).
Josie Naughton, the charity's chief executive has high hopes that it will raise even more money this year and help the growing migrant crisis in the Americas.
"We have a London store this year and then also a store in New York," she said. "We're going to be supporting organisations working with people migrating through Central America and across the Mexican border."
Since starting in 2015 'Help Refugees' has raised over £30 million (USD $38 million) and now works with over 75 frontline partner organisations in Europe, Middle East and the Americas.
The shop space, which is just off London's Carnaby Street, is given to the charity free of rent and the staff are all volunteers.
'Help Refugees' say that 100 percent of the purchase price goes to products for refugees. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
