- Story Text: Britain's Prince of Wales visited Sufi shrine Haji Ali Dargah, one of the most renowned religious destinations in India's western Mumbai city, on Monday (November 11).
Prince Charles, known to have a profound interest in Islamic art and culture, visited the holy shrine amid tight security and was accompanied by delegates and officials.
Haji Ali is a famous tourist destination situated a few hundred meters ahead of the shoreline of the Arabian Sea.
The shrine is the resting place of Muslim saint Pir Haji Ali Shah Bukhari.
Prince Charles assessed the progress of the restoration work going on for the conservation of the monument.
