Summary:October 21 1966 and the small Welsh mining town of Aberfan becomes the scene of one of the most appalling disasters ever. Here, an entire generation of school children was killed when tons of earth from a 30-year-old slag heap engulfed their school in sudden horror. In all, 193 people were killed by the earthslip.
