- Story Text: Indian External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj met with Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry in Cairo on Monday (August 24), on her first visit to Egypt since her appointment in July 2014.
Swaraj arrived on Sunday for a three day visit to promote ties between the two countries in various fields, according to a statement by the Egyptian Foreign Ministry.
Egyptian-Indian trade amounts to almost five billion dollars annually, and Indian investments in Egypt are worth three billion dollars, the Foreign Ministry said. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
