My elder children are twins, and a product range in shops is very poor and expensive. It is very expensive for our family." - Story Text: The reconstruction of the bridge connecting rebel- and Kiev-controlled areas in the east of Ukraine started in September and a few workers could been seen near the bridge on Wednesday (September 25).
Local resident of self-proclaimed Luhansk People's Republic (LPR), Yuri, noticed that the bridge had become sturdier than before.
Another Luhansk resident, Tatyana, said she needs to cross the bridge quite often, as she is not happy with the range of products and costs in the region.
The bridge, the only entry and exit point for civilians in Luhansk region into Ukraine, was severely damaged in 2015 and replaced with two wooden ramps.
Kiev's forces have been battling pro-Russian separatists in Donetsk and Luhansk regions of eastern Ukraine since 2014, in a conflict that has claimed more than 13,000 lives. Sporadic fighting continues despite a ceasefire agreement reached in Belarus capital in 2015.
