- Story Text: Hundreds of supporters gathered in a Hong Kong court on Wednesday (October 2) in a support of 96 protesters who were arrested in recent protests.
Wearing black and surgical masks to hide their identities, the supporters queued to follow the court proceedings while some chanted slogans outside of the court.
The hearing on Wednesday is for the largest protester group being charged since the beginning of the movement.
On Tuesday (October 1) a student was shot in a city-wide violent protest which marred the celebrations in Beijing to mark the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China.
