- Story Text: Hong Kong's chief executive Carrie Lam on Friday (October 11) attended a banquet in the Sha Tin district, a rare sight of Lam outside of her compound since protests have rocked the city.
Lam was seen in her vehicle entering the Shek Muk building and in less than an hour, she had left.
The chief executive and a few government officials reportedly attend a national day celebration hosted by Heung Yee Kuk, a well-known advisory board associated with the New Terrotories, according to local media.
Some local residents said that Lam should 'connect' with the Hong Kong people more.
