- Story Text: Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan arrived in Geneva on Monday (December 16) to attend the Global Refugee Forum hosted by the United Nations' Refugee Agency.
Heavy police presence guarded the surroundings of the Four Seasons Hotel in central Geneva, where Erdogan was greeted by a small crowd of supporters, who also caught a glimpse of Turkish first lady Emine Erdogan.
The UNHCR hopes this first edition of the Global Refugee Forum will be an "opportunity to translate to translate the principle of international responsibility-sharing into concrete action".
The forum is due to last until Wednesday (December 18).
