- Story Text:India's southern Bengaluru city residents thronged the annual cake show ahead of Christmas on Tuesday (December 17).
The main attraction of this year's show was the cake replica of St. Basil's Cathedral of Moscow.
This time, the organisers also incorporated a local flavour in the cake exhibition. Visitors especially remarked a cake designed as a performer in an Indian classical dance pose of 'Kathakali'. Bengaluru's Basilica Church was also on display along with many local mythical characters.
Christians form less than three percent of India's more than one billion population but Christmas is now widely celebrated in metros and other big cities with much pomp, gaiety, and devotion. - Copyright Holder: ANI (India)
