- Story Text: George Clooney, Matt Damon, Don Cheadle and Brad Pitt suppress laughter during interviews for their latest film, "Ocean's Thirteen".
Just outside of Cannes to promote "Ocean's Thirteen," most of the cast members made fun of each other and the film. George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, Don Cheadle and others return for the third installation of the popular and lucrative sequel directed by Steven Soderbergh.
Although the film is being shown at the Cannes Film Festival, it is not in competition but don't tell that to the actors. "Yeah, we brought it (the film) here because we thought we're gonna win, said Matt Damon. "Everybody told us we're gonna win. It's not really not about the film as much as it's about getting the award," said Clooney.
Matt Damon goes on to explain how the cast had fun working together again and what a good group of guys, Clooney slowly shook his head while Matt Damon explained. "Normally we do interviews all together but Brad's got a restraining order so we can't be within metres of him or Angie."
Brad Pitt and Don Cheadle took their revenge of George in another interview. "You can't listen much to what he (George) says," said Cheadle. "Nor does he really know what he's talking about," said Brad Pitt.
Pitt was in Cannes to also promote, "A Mighty Heart" which he produced. His partner, Angelina Jolie plays the role of Mariane Pearl, wife of murdered Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl who was kidnapped and beheaded by Islamic militants in 2002.
Wanting to acknowledge the need for serious film, Pitt made no apology for "Ocean's Thirteen." "I think there is a fair argument for deep, thought-provoking and statement on our world types of films and as well as pure unadulterated entertainment.
