After several reported border incidents in which the Chinese claimed Soviet troops attacked Chinese fishermen, Peking released this 'official' film as a record of some of the events in the disputed river area. The film shows an angry clash on September 24, 1967 between a Soviet river patrol and Chinese fishermen. Pravda, the official Soviet newspaper, later described the film as 'cinematic libel' angled to create an impression of Soviet aggression.
