McConville and his team arrived in Thailand on Thursday (July 9) for a two-day trip to strengthen the relationship between the two countries.
According to a press release from the Thai government house, Prayuth has acknowledged $2 million in funds from the U.S. to help Thailand cope with the coronavirus and facilitate Thai returnees during the pandemic.
The U.S. delegates were visiting Thailand under a special arrangement and must observe measures imposed by the country's Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration, which allows delegates to not be quarantined, but they must wear face masks during their visits.
