- Story Text: Jordanian teenager Abdullah Dweiri built a huge social media following doing the one thing he loves best: gaming.
Specializing in the hit game PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG), in which a group of players fight one another until only a single combatant is left alive, the 13-year-old gamer managed to gain millions of followers within three years.
Over 5 million people from around the region follow his Facebook page and more than a million have subscribed to his Youtube channel, earning him the gold YouTube Creator Award.
While Abdullah started playing PUBG three years ago, his love for video games with guns started when he was only four.
He plays for an average of 12 hours a day and says he would like to play more if not for his parents who think "there are other important things".
Despite limiting his game time, Abdullah has the full support of his father Amjad Dweiri who started playing the game with him for fun and has become his sidekick, managing his live streams and joining him on some of his battles.
"Once he suggested it (live streaming) to me, I not only encouraged him but I was really happy with the idea despite the resistance we faced from the family," Amjad said.
