Thousands of supporters of Argentina's LGBT+ community marched through the streets of Buenos Aires on Saturday (November 6) to celebrate the return of the capital's annual pride parade following the lifting of COVID-19 restrictions.
The event is not just about music and dancing, with organisers using the occasion to raise awareness on issues such as violence affecting the trans community as well as equality.
Argentina is seen as a leader on LGBT+ rights in Latin America. It was the first Latin American country to allow same-sex civil unions in 2002 and the first country in Latin America to legalise same-sex marriages in 2010.
