- Story Text:Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane said on Tuesday (January 17) the team needs to recover back onto a positive track when they host Celta Vigo in the King's Cup quarter-final first leg on Wednesday (January 18).
The coach said the northern Spain side, coached by Argentinean Eduardo Berizzo, had a fighting spirit.
"It's a good team that fights in all competitions. It's a really good team that plays good football. So our main intention is to start the game as we know. It will be another tough match, another competition as you say, it's a knockout round and we will see what happens tomorrow," Zidane said in a news conference previewing the match.
On Sunday (January 15), against Sevilla, 'Los Blancos' lost for the first time in nine months, ending the club's record 40-game unbeaten run in all competitions.
Zidane said it's never good to lose and that the team needs to get back onto gaining positive results.
"No, to be honest I don't think it's positive to lose. I would have preferred to keep winning because we work for that. But it's true that when it happens, it's because we missed something. We have had time to analyse things and we have to think on getting back on a good track. It's true we might have to work a bit more. I have to say I would have liked to win, it wasn't positive," he said.
Real are bidding for their first La Liga title since 2012. After Sunday's defeat they still top La Liga standings, only one point clear of Sevilla and two ahead of Barca. Los Blancos still have to recover the league game against Valencia. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
