Dozens of naked people took to the streets of Guadalajara, western Mexico, on Saturday (July 2) to promote body acceptance and break taboos about nudity.
Demonstrators marched naked for the first time in Guadalajara's downtown streets, waving banners to the astonished gaze of people looking at the unprecedented protest.
The march was organised by Guadalajara Nature and Nudity collective to protest against censorship and break down stigmas and prejudices about nudity in Mexico.
"Although we are all born with a body naked, we are taught the idea that nudity is a bad thing. This idea has generated many social problems, such as self-esteem, bullying, hypersexualisation of the body, and consumerism of the body," founder of the group Hector Martinez told Reuters.
