On Monday (September 19) a magnitude 7.6 quake struck in western Mexico. Most of the damage was concentrated in the states of Colima and Michoacan.
After touring the area, Michoacan Communications and Public Works Minister, Jose Zavala, told Reuters that the damages in Coalcoman have been minimal and that buildings had not suffered a structural damage.
They had found 63 buildings with minimal damages in the municipal seat, Zavala reported.
Amongst the damaged buildings were a shopping centre and the municipal auditorium.
In the country, the earthquake killed two people on Monday (September 19), damaged more than 200 buildings and injured 10 people, Laura Velazquez, the head of Mexico's civil protection agency, said on Tuesday (September 20).
