The following is a list of nominees in the actor in a supporting role category:

Brian Tyree Henry – “Causewayâ€
Judd Hirsch – “The Fabelmansâ€
Barry Keoghan – “The Banshees of Inisherinâ€
Ke Huy Quan – “Everything Everywhere All at Onceâ€
Brendan Gleeson is nominated for his role as Colm in “The Banshees of Inisherinâ€. Gleeson’s character is the lifelong friend of Colin Farrell’s Padraic, before their friendship comes to an abrupt end with consequences for both. The Irish actor won an accolade for best supporting actor in the film from the National Board of Review in 2022, alongside BAFTA and Golden Globe nominations.
His co-star Barry Keoghan won the BAFTA award for best actor in a supporting role for his performance in the film. Keoghan plays a young islander on a quest to repair the broken friendship between Colm and Padraic.
Brian Tyree Henry plays amputee James Aucoin in “Causewayâ€, a drama based on a soldier’s return to home following a traumatic brain injury. Alongside his Oscar nomination, Henry has also received nods for the role from the Independent Spirit Awards and Critics' Choice Movie Awards.
Judd Hirsch stars alongside Michelle Williams and Gabriel LaBelle in Steven Spielberg’s semi-autobiographical “The Fabelmansâ€, which tells the tale of a young, aspiring filmmaker. Hirsch received an Academy Award nomination for best actor in a supporting role in 1981 for his role in “Ordinary Peopleâ€. The actor recently took home a best supporting actor award from the AARP Movies for Grownups Awards for his role as Boris Podgomy in “The Fabelmansâ€.
Ke Huy Quan received his Oscar nomination for his role as Waymond Wang in “Everything Everywhere All at Onceâ€. The actor has scooped an array of awards for the supporting role, including a Golden Globe award and Critics' Choice Movie award, alongside U.S. regional film critic society awards. Quan also received a BAFTA nomination for his role, which he described as “incredibleâ€.
“ I didn’t think any of this was possible after stepping away from acting for more than 20 years and to have the first movie back like this, the way they did, all the attention that we have gotten so far, it’s just incredible,†he said on the BAFTA red carpet on February 19.
Winners will be revealed on March 12 in Los Angeles.
