- Story Text: INTRO: Prince Charles and his son Prince Harry have attended a Spice Girls concert in Johannesburg.
The Prince of Wales and his son arrived at Johannesburg stadium on Saturday night (November 1) to watch a performance by the internationally famous pop group the Spice Girls.
The five singers were performing in aid of the Two Nations charity founded when Queen Elizabeth visited South Africa in 1995.
Thirteen-year-old Harry is the youngest son of the late Diana, Princess of Wales and this was his first royal engagement overseas.
He will also tour a rural school on Monday with his father, who began an eight-day tour of Swaziland, Lesotho and South Africa on Wednesday.
Harry has no other engagements, having spent the rest of his time since arriving in South Africa last week on a safari holiday with a friend and with royal nanny Tiggy Legge-Bourke.
Earlier in the day, Harry accompanied his father at the opening of the Hilton Hotel.
Harry has spent the past few days at a private game reserve with a schoolfriend.
Diana's brother, Earl Spencer, who pledged at Diana's funeral to help raise the boys in the less cloistered way his sister wanted, lives in South Africa but has not yet been seen with Harry.
