- Story Text: For the past two years, Jordanian man Ahmad Al Zawahrah has been collecting discarded items like air conditioners and televisions, using them to create artistic installations which he displays outdoor.
The 36-year-old says his project started out as an initiative to collect trash from the sides of the road, but he was soon inspired to use these discarded items to create art.
"When I was a child, my hobby was painting. I transformed painting into creating installations. I create 3D installations in my imagination, without pen or paper, and then I implement it exactly as I thought of it. I also modify it according to my imagination," he said.
His creations, which include huge monster-truck installations, sit on an empty plot of land in his hometown of Zarqa, where people can enjoy them for free.
The artist, who owns a car garage, said he is very passionate about helping the environment.
"I do this to protect the environment and also create pretty installations that beautify the streets and environment." he said.
