Summary:The long-delayed Communist Party summit opened in Moscow in June. Representatives of 75 Communist parties filled the Kremlin conference area. The conference, the first Communist summit in nine years, was boycotted by the People's Republic of China. Albania, North Korea, North Vietnam and Yugoslavia were also unrepresented.
