- Story Text:German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and French President Emmanuel Macron took a selfie with a bystander ahead of a private dinner on Tuesday (June 6).
The encounter took place in the German city of Potsdam, where Scholz has been living with his wife since 2017.
Ahead of their arrival, several members of the German government and others such as the French ambassador to Germany also arrived at the restaurant "Kochzimmer".
Earlier in the day, President Emmanuel Macron attended a ceremony marking the 79th anniversary of the D-Day landings in Normandy, along with the last surviving member of the French commandos, Leon Gautier, aged 100.
