  • Story Text: Netflix unveiled the trailer of its new quirky Indian series 'Guns and Gulaabs' (guns and roses) in New Delhi on Wednesday (August 02).
    The show, which stars Indian actors Rajkummar Rao, and Dulquer Salmaan in the lead role, is an ode to the 90s Bollywood cinema and presents the audience "mashup of crime, romance and drama" in an unconventional and retro style.
    At the promotional event, the actors talked about their respective roles and shed light on life in the 90s in comparison with recent times.
    The directors of the show Raj Nidimoru and Krishna D. K. said they were "excited" about their first venture with Netflix as and it was an "exhilarating" experience working with the online streaming giant.
    Set in the fictional town of Gulaabganj, the series is scheduled to premiere on August 18 on the OTT platform.
