- Story Text:Chadian cart owners are lugging around Sudanese refugees and their belongings across the border and into Chad on horse-drawn carts, as the conflict in Sudan continues to force more people out.
Whether the refugees have money or none at all, the cart owners say they still help them make the journey from the Sudanese side into Chad, most times for free.
Some taxis also operate by the border, doing several trips a day with around four passengers at a time.
Hundreds of thousands of people have fled to Chad since the conflict started last April between Sudan's army and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF), which erupted amid disputes over an internationally backed plan for a transition to civilian rule.
