A rocket from Gaza landed in Israel's Sderot on Wednesday (October 11), causing damage to a property.
As Israeli services and security forces continue their operation in Sderot, located approximately 4 kms away from Gaza, bodies of Hamas militants were found among debris. Others were wrapped in white blankets.
Zion Cohen, a resident in Sderot, said the situation reamined tense in the neighbourhood where a rocket fired from Gaza had exploded on Wednesday.
Hamas launched a surprise attack on Israel on Saturday (October 7), rampaging through towns killing hundreds of people and kidnapping others.
Israel's death toll reached 1,200 with more than 2,700 wounded, its military said, from Hamas gunmen's hours-long rampage after breaching the fence around Gaza on Saturday.
In retaliation, Israel had been pounding the blockaded enclave with air strikes that have killed 1,055 people and wounded 5,184, Palestinian officials say.
