Speak up, be clear, because if you can't be heard, we'll all go to the pub and have a drink. So, if you can't be heard, you're wasting time, you're wasting the audience. When I look, watch films today and sometimes have to use subtext because I don't know what they're talking about.”

- Story Text: Oscar winner Sir Anthony Hopkins shared some of the secrets to his success while chatting about his new film “Freud’s Last Session”.
Hopkins portrays Sigmund Freud, opposite actor Matthew Goode who plays C.S. Lewis in a fictional account of a meeting between the two men.
"When I'm working and when I’m preparing or learning the lines is to look for actions and motivations that will get me from point A to over there. And I'll just move it around a bit because if you are going to have a debate on God and -- you know, you can't sit around. People just fall asleep. So, you have to keep it moving.”
In the film the two men debate the existence of God and the future of mankind as World War II is about to begin.
For Hopkins, the idea of compromising and respect the two men had for each other is something the world needs now.
“It's all hard, you're wrong, and I am right. Who says that? I mean, the political divide that is now is so concretized. There must be -- your opposition as a human being. What are we talking about? You're wrong - it's madness.”
As a veteran 86-year-old actor and two-time Oscar winner, Hopkins offered advice to new actors: “Speak up, be clear, because if you can't be heard, we'll all go to the pub and have a drink” and “you get on set, know what you're doing, you come in strong, you come in that you are the boss. Doesn't mean to say you dismiss anyone, but you invite them all onto a horse with you.”
“Freud’s Last Session” is currently playing in theaters.
