Couples wearing pink clothing and heart-shaped accessories flocked to the Eiffel tower in droves on Wednesday (February 14) in Paris to mark Valentine's Day.
Lovers were invited to immortalise the occasion by posing in a pink frame, as Madame Brasserie, the restaurant at the Eiffel tower's first floor, offered a special Valentine's menu for 400 guests.
"What better way to spend (Valentine's Day) than in the City of Love?," said Robbie, 40, who came with his partner Sarah, 41, from Gran Canaria for the occasion.
Commonly known as the City of Love, Paris is one of the most popular destinations for couples, which account for many of the 44 million tourists that visit the capital yearly, according to the city's most recent tourism figures.
Among these couples were Hong Kong newlyweds Rachel and Hugo, who timed their honeymoon to fall on Valentine's Day.
"We chose to come to the Eiffel Tower on Valentine's Day as this is memorable," Rachel said. "So, (the photobooth) is another memorable experience."
