  • Story Text: Celebrities will be bringing along some of their best friends to Oscars’ red carpet… diamonds.
    Stars will shine even brighter with the help of some of the most precious gemstones from various luxury jewelers including Tiffany & Co.
    “Jewelry is wearable art. So, for me and you know, to see it on Dua Lipa, to see it on Emily Blunt, to see it on Selena Gomez, it just accentuates the beauty of the piece. Jean Schlumberger, who is one of our great designers, always said a piece of jewelry is never fully complete until it's worn,” said chief gemologist and vice president of global merchandising, high jewelry at Tiffany & Co., Victoria Reynolds.
    This award season several a-listers have borrowed pieces from the company’s famed Jean Schlumberger collection.
    “(This) is a great example of what we're seeing on the red carpet. Beautiful diamond necklaces, a lot of volume, whimsy, you know, incorporated into the fashion, into the unique style of the lady wearing them. I would say, secondly, we have incredible also statement earrings. Very whimsical,” explained Reynolds.
    Recently singer Dua Lipa has worn items from recent blue book collections and even a nearly 50-year-old necklace.
    “The archives, though, have been a wonderful resource because you have, again, the longevity of Tiffany and Co… a 1970s necklace, very unusual yellow barrel worn with her dress. Worn with her incredible style.”
    Male celebrities including Colman Domingo and John Krasinski are also getting a chance to raid the jewelry box.
    Actor Jeremy Allen White recently wore a Jean Schlumberger bird on a rock brooch to the SAG awards.
    Reynolds said Schlumberger’s pieces as always in style.
    “It's whimsical, beautiful gemstones and really featuring the most incredible designs in the world... which has been worn recently by, ladies and men alike.”
    Gold and silver hardware have also made a statement on red carpets this season, with Jon Batiste donning a piece adorned with pave diamonds at the Golden Globe Awards.
    Reynolds anticipates an even grander display of diamonds at this year's Oscars. "We'll have some incredible surprises in store. So, we're quite excited about that," she said.
