- Story Text: McDonald's Japan on Friday (March 15) said it had halted operations at many stores due to systems trouble, with media reporting technical issues were also reported in Australia and Hong Kong.
Many McDonald's shops in Japan stopped taking in-person and mobile customer orders because of a system disruption, a spokesperson at McDonald's Holdings Company Japan said, adding that the company was working to restore operations soon.
Japanese walking past a restaurant in Tokyo said they were surprised, given that they never hear of such system outages occuring at the hamburger giant.
