  • Story Text: Drone video showed a massive sinkhole developed in an Illinois soccer field on Thursday (June 27).
    The hole measuring nearly 100 feet wide (30.48 meters) and approximately 30 feet (9 meters) deep, swallowed a light pole and bleachers at Gordon Moore Park in Alton Illinois .
    Local officials say the field was built on top of and underground mine, which may have lead to the collapse.
