- Story Text: The World Bank, in cooperation with African Development Bank, has organised a series of two seminars for African nations. The seminars run from October 4 to October 23, and are being held at the Hotel Ivoire in Abidjan.
The theme of the first seminar is "Employment and Income Distribution." Most of the participants are faculty members from African universities, mainly researchers and economists.
The second seminar will together Finance and Economic and Planning Ministers. In all, 15 African countries are participating in the seminars.
Addressing delegates at the beginning of the convention, a representative of the world bank told his audience that his organisation was not satisfied with present developments. He expressed the hope that the World Bank would gain more experience and test new approaches to making best of capital and human resources.
