- Story Text:Indian telecom carrier Bharti Airtel launched a technology backed by artificial intelligence for detecting spam messages and calls on Wednesday (September 25).
The service will monitor incoming calls and messages on the network in real-time and will flag them as spam based on over 250 parameters, company's CEO Gopal Vittal said at the launch event in Gurugram city.
Network users will be able to see potential spam calls and messages on their diallers, he added.
The service will automatically be rolled out to network users beginning Wednesday at midnight.
The carrier's consolidated net profit for the first quarter rose more than twofold to 41.60 billion rupees ($495 million) in August 2024.
Airtel is the country's second-largest mobile network operator with a current user base of 352 million users. - Copyright Holder: ANI (India)
