- Story Text: BLACKPINK singer Rose has announced that she has signed a record deal with Atlantic Records for her solo music.
The 27-year-old shared the news on Instagram on Thursday (September 26): “I am so, so excited to announce to you my signing with Atlantic Records! I know you’ve all waited sooo long for this moment, but I hope you’re ready for what’s in store for the next few months! I cannot wait for you all to hear everything! so hang on tight! Miss you all dearly.”
The “How You Like That” singer also encouraged fans to follow her separate Instagram account @vampirehollie “to get quick updates and cute moments from the team”.
Rose, real name Roseanne Park, signed a solo management deal with The Black Label, a subsidiary of South Korean label YG Entertainment on June 17. All four members of BLACKPINK have renewed their contracts with their label YG Entertainment as a group. However, Jennie joined Colombia Records’ roster earlier this month and Lisa signed a solo record deal with RCA Records in April 2024.
BLACKPINK are currently one of the most successful girl groups in the world. The quartet were the first K-pop group to headline the Coachella and British Summer Time festivals. They are also the first K-pop girl group to win a MTV Video Music Award.
Outside of music, Rose, a Korean-New Zealand native, is also a global ambassador for brands Yves Saint Laurent, Puma and Tiffany & Co.
Atlantic Records is home to artists such as Bruno Mars, Charli XCX, and Ed Sheeran.
