  • Story Text: Drone footage captured on Tuesday (October 8) showed a steady stream of cars along Interstate 75 in Florida, as residents evacuated, fleeing Hurricane Milton's projected path.
    Some areas of central Florida will get up to 18 inches of rain with a "high risk of life-threatening flash and urban flooding" in metro areas of Tampa, Orlando and Daytona Beach, according to the National Hurricane Centre.
    Evacuation orders have been given in low-lying areas and other vulnerable communities in six counties around Tampa Bay that are home to nearly 4 million people. Not all residents face mandatory evacuation.
