- Story Text:Bangladesh fielding coach Nic Pothas said on Friday (October 11) he was assessing the team's performance in terms of learning after losing the series against India whom he touted as the 'best team in the world'.
Pothas also added the team was looking to solidify roles for the players including 26-year-old Mehidy Hasan Miraz, after the exit of giants like Shakib Al Hasan and Mahmudullah from the T20 format at the international stage.
Appreciating his team's performance efforts in the past year, Pothas said he remained focussed on honest learning keeping in view upcoming tournaments, including the Champions Trophy.
India assistant coach Ryan ten Doeschate credited the team's success to the newfound depth in the batting and bowling lineups.
"It is good to see the depth we have had so far. These guys can fill multiple roles which are so important for balance depending on where we play," he said focussing on building a "strong core" for the upcoming Champions Trophy, Asia Cup, and World Cup tournaments.
India crushed Bangladesh by 86 runs in the second Twenty20 international in New Delhi on Wednesday (October 09) to take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series.
Hyderabad will host the last match of the series on Saturday (October 12). - Copyright Holder: ANI (India)
