- Story Text: Jenna Piwowarczyk never expected she’d 'go viral.'
The Wisconsin college student was politically minded from a young age. Both of her parents pushed her to be loud and proud about her beliefs. She started the first chapter of the Young America Foundation, a conservative youth group, at her high school, and now runs the chapter at Concordia College. Her father, Jim Piwowarczyk, is the founder and owner of the news organization Wisconsin News Now and a Republican candidate for the Wisconsin Assembly 98th District.
The younger Piwowarczyk, 19, has also been a huge fan of Taylor Swift’s ever since she was a kid - even though the singer is “liberal.”
“Being a Swiftie and growing up with you know, conservative principles, I just didn't feel represented,” she said. “So I wanted to create a movement that would help other girls and women who identify that feel represented.”
When 2024 Republican Presidential candidate Donald Trump came to Racine, Wisconsin, for a rally this past June, Piwowarczyk had the opportunity to meet the former President in person.
For the occasion, she wore a white t-shirt emblazoned with a glittery message: “Swifties for Trump,” a shirt that she bought at Walmart and decorated herself.
“He loved the shirt, he thought it was great,” she said, referring to the former President.
Conservative-minded Swift fans loved the shirt too. After Jenna’s meeting with Trump, she said a random social media account on X picked up the picture and soon girls started to reach out to her.
Piwowarczyk considers herself to be a conservative, pro-family and in support of small government. Financial and immigration-related concerts are top of mind.
“I believe that the Biden-Harris administration didn't work for America. It didn't work for me. It didn't work for my family," she said. "And I think looking forward on November 5th, 6th, we're going to see this change implemented by the Trump-Vance ticket that is going to push America forward in a new way."
