- Story Text: Members of New York’s Latino community spoke out after Republican candidate Donald Trump's rally in the city on Sunday, (October 27), which began with a series of vulgar and racist remarks by allies of the former president.
Costa Rican engineer Patricia Morelli told Reuters on Monday (October 28) that the Latino community was "very offended" by the comments heard at the rally.
Opinions vary, however, within the community. Carlos Rosario, a Puerto Rican, said Trump "was for real" when he was president.
With just over a week until Election Day, polls indicate that Trump and Democrat Kamala Harris are running neck and neck in key battleground states. Over 38 million votes have already been cast."
