The opening ceremony took place at Pakistan's National Counter Terrorism Center in the Pabbi area of the Kharian district in Punjab province. The ministry said that the exercise will emphasize coordination in combat operations within mountainous terrain aimed at eliminating illegal armed groups. Additionally, it highlighted that the joint tactical exercise is intended to strengthen and enhance military cooperation between Russia and Pakistan. The Friendship-2024 military exercise is scheduled to run from Oct. 14 to Oct. 26.
