  • Story Text:Early voting ended on Sunday (November 3) in Ohio but hundreds of people were still waiting to cast their votes.
    Although polling officially ends at 5pm, if voters are in the line, they are still eligible to vote that day.
    "You know, it's getting darker outside," said Amanda DeVita, 31, from Columbus, Ohio, who was standing in line at Franklin County's polling station.
    "People are more like chilling now than we were like hype before. But, you know, I think the people that are still here are passionate and they care. And yeah, it might not be hype, but it's definitely driven," she added.
    Nick Rarick, 45, who was also in the line, said, "I've been in line for about two and a half hours and wanted to do early voting, realized when I got here that probably a lot of other people had the same idea as well, and I didn't realize it was going to be quite this long, so that's why I stayed in line. But once I'm committed, I'm committed, so I'm just going to finish it out and vote today."
    But once Columbus residents got to vote, they were happy.
    Stephanie Shawler, 49, from Columbus, said, "We voted. It feels great. I feel gratified. I feel satisfied. And I'm proud that, you know, we added our voice."
