"Spain's main investment destination is the United States. The United States is the leading investor in Spain outside the European Union and we have an intense relationship as NATO allies and through our Euro-Atlantic partnership with the European Union,” Albares told reporters.
Spain's Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez on Wednesday morning congratulated Donald Trump on his victory to the presidential election and said he was willing to work with him.
"Congratulations Donald Trump on your victory and your election as 47th President of the U.S.," he said in a post on X. "We will work on our strategic bilateral relations and on a strong transatlantic partnership."
