- Story Text: Russia pounded the city of Kharkiv on Friday (November 8) in the northeast with guided air bombs during the overnight attack, wounding at least 25 people, said Oleh Syniehubov, Kharkiv regional governor.
Injured residents were evacuated from damaged buildings and at one point rescue operation had to be halted at the site of a damaged apartment block, as a secondary air alert was declared.
Russia has intensified its air attacks on Ukrainian cities and towns, sending swarms of drones almost daily with multiple night-time explosions and the constant sound of drones keeping residents awake.
Ukraine’s eastern city has become a frequent target of Russian air attacks since Russia launched its full-scale invasion in February 2022.
