- Story Text: Dutch Prime Minister Dick Schoof said on Friday (November 8) he felt "ashamed" after the attacks on Israeli soccer fans in Amsterdam, describing the night as "dreadful."
Speaking at the sidelines of a summit of European Union leaders in Budapest, Schoof noted that antisemitism has grown after the Hamas attack on October 7.
He emphasized that the Netherlands is doing everything it can to ensure the safety of Israelis in the country.
Schoof said he would leave the summit early on Friday afternoon to return to Amsterdam.
