- Story Text:French television show “Drops of God” earned the best drama series award at the 52nd International Emmy Awards on Monday (November 25) in New York.
One of the show’s stars, actress Fleur Geffrier said she’s proud to be part of an award winning show.
“I'm thinking about the crew members working right now in Japan. And every actor – every, everybody. And yeah, I think everybody's just behind us. And we are so free and happy.”
British actor Timothy Spall earned the best actor prize for his role in “The Sixth Commandment, while a shocked Aokbab-Chutimon Chuengcharoensukying was named best actress.
“I haven’t expect that at all, you know? I felt like I already won the award because I met all the nominated – they are amazing, they are talented.”
Veteran television writer and producer David E. Kelley was honored with The Founder Award and left the audience with words of advice.
“All of you tonight are here because of your success. And with that success comes an opportunity to be a mentor. Take advantage of that.”
Indian actor and comedian Vir Das served as the evening's host.
