- Story Text: Holiday travel was in full swing on Monday (November 25) as people across the U.S. boarded flights, piled into cars or caught trains ahead of what is usually the busiest travel season in the country.
Here at Reagan National Airport outside of Washington, D.C., travelers reported few delays.
"It's been pretty smooth today, actually. There have been a lot of a lot of passengers on our flight, but it's been a good flight overall," said Samantha Sowa who was traveling with her family.
The day before Thanksgiving is usually the busiest travel day of the year in the United States. Many people try to schedule their travel earlier in the week to avoid the congestion and delays typical of that day.
This year, Thanksgiving falls on Thursday, November 28th.
