Dozens of warheads, homing warheads, attack the target at a speed of 10 Machs, which is about three kilometres per second (1.86 miles per second). The temperature of the striking elements reaches 4000 degrees. If my memory serves me right, the temperature on the surface of the Sun is 5.5-6 thousand degrees. Therefore, everything that is in the epicentre of the explosion is divided into fractions, into elementary particles, essentially, turned into dust." PUTIN SPEAKING

- Story Text: Russian President Vladimir Putin on Thursday (November 28) praised the new Oreshnik (Hazel Tree) missile that was used during recent attack on Ukraine.
Putin, for the second time in less than a week, boasted that the Oreshnik was comparable to a nuclear weapon in terms of its destructive power and would atomise everything at the point of impact - but he said it would not carry a nuclear warhead or spread radioactive contamination.
The Russian president was speaking during a meeting of the leaders of the Russia-led Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) in Astana, Kazakhstan.
Western security experts say the missile, like many others in Russia's arsenal, could be fitted with a nuclear warhead.
Ukraine said the Oreshnik fired on Nov. 21 reached a top speed of 13,600 kph (8,450 mph) but sources said it carried dummy warheads, not live explosives. - Copyright Holder: POOL (CAN SELL)
