- Story Text: During their stay in Saudi Arabia for the Muslim pilgrimage of Haj, a group of Indonesian pilgrims visited a camel farm on Saturday (October 29).
Members of the group bought camel milk for the first time in their lives.
"These Indonesian pilgrims never drank camel milk before. So they want to try this milk, how do we feel after drinking camel milk, we have not drunk it before," said pilgrim Saif al Aziz.
But the Indonesians did not only drink the milk, many also rubbed their face with it.
Saif al Aziz explained that doing this keeps the face looking younger.
"Camel milk gives strength, it prevents the face from quickly becoming old and always keeps us young, it is possible."
Camel milk is higher in Vitamin C and lower in fat than cow's milk. It is more watery than cow's milk and said to taste salty.
Camel milk is consumed mainly in the Middle East, parts of Africa and India. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
