Story Text:A 6.3 magnitude earthquake occurred on Friday (December 13) evening at 20:38 local time (0038 GMT) in Chile, and shook the central region, including the capital, Santiago.
According to information provided by the National Seismological Center of the University of Chile, the earthquake's epicenter was located 52 kilometers southeast of Curico, at a depth of 114 kilometers.
The Hydrographic and Oceanographic Service of the Navy (SHOA) in Chile has ruled out the possibility of a tsunami on the country's coastlines.
