- Story Text: Syrian rebels were seen on Saturday (December 14) inspecting a scene of an apparent Israeli airstrike on a military site near Damascus the day before.
Burnt vehicles could be seen on the site of the strike which Syrian observatory for Human Rights said came from Israel.
Local resident Mohamed Hashem said the explosion happened in the area of Qasyoun in northern Damascus.
Footage from Syria's capital, Damascus, from Friday evening (December 13) showed a fireball on the horizon beyond the capital followed by a sound of powerful explosion.
Reuters has not been able to identify the cause of that explosion.
