- Date: 19th December 2024
- Summary: At least 19 killed in Israeli strikes on Gaza's al-Tuffah neighborhood SHOTLIST: GAZA, PALESTINE (DEC. 19, 2024) (ANADOLU - ACCESS ALL) 1. VARIOUS OF PALESTINIANS ATTEMPTING TO EXTINGUISH FIRE AT TARGETED BUILDING, BODIES OF DECEASED BEING EVACUATED AFTER ISRAELI GENOCIDAL ATTACK SCRIPT At least 19 Palestinians, including children, were killed and many others injured on Thursday, Dec. 19, in Israeli airstrikes on a house in al-Tuffah neighborhood of Gaza City. The attack caused widespread destruction to the house and nearby residential buildings, witnesses told Anadolu. Footage shows Palestinians attempting to extinguish the fire at the targeted building while the bodies of the deceased are evacuated following the Israeli strike. Israel has systematically targeted civilian facilities, including schools, hospitals, and places of worship, in its ongoing offensive on the Gaza Strip. Under the rules of war, targeting such civilian facilities can constitute a war crime. Israel has launched a genocidal war on Gaza that has killed over 45,100 victims, mostly women and children, since a Hamas attack on Oct. 7, 2023. The International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants last month for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza. Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its war on Gaza.
